We are currently seeking a Quality Control Support Representative to join our team in our Purchase, New York headquarters. Responsibilities of this position include:
- Performing post-closing quality audits and documentation reviews on all loans to ensure data integrity and proper input into the loan servicing system.
- Accountability for satisfactory eligibility review and tracking of student loans.
- Ensuring timely delivery, assignment preparation and submission of first mortgage loans to the investor.
- Maintaining all original first mortgage documents in-house.
- Following up (with appropriate parties) and maintaining document inventory for both 1st and 2nd recorded mortgages and all other ancillary documents to protect the Credit Unions lien interests.
- Ensuring all loan documents are scanned into our document imaging system.
- Timely ordering of first mortgage reports such as, appraisals, floods, and title.
- Processing mortgage application fees and rate lock fees/refunds.
- Supporting Management with Internal/External Lending Audits.
- Monitoring and reconciling various reports, interacting with appropriate departments to ensure data integrity.
- Actively working with management and staff seeking ways to enhance and automate processes.
- Requesting, tracking and reviewing documentation required to complete loan transactions.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, college Degree preferred with 1 - 2 years of related experience at a credit union, bank or other financial institution.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail oriented.
- Must have effective computer skills with good problem solving abilities.
- Knowledge of current word processing and spreadsheet computer software preferred.
