Currently, Syclo has an immediate need for a Level 2 SAP Technical Support Specialist who will be based at our world headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
The Level 2 SAP Technical Support Specialist is accountable for providing 2nd level technical support for all Syclo software products. 2nd Level support is defined as issues that cannot be resolved by first level support.
***Please note that we are NOT looking for a Network Administrator, LAN Administrator, PC Technician, System Administrator, or Desktop Support. This is a Software Support position, which requires experience in coding.***
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot problems as they relate to Syclo software with external customers
- Research issues with 1st level customer support, customers, internal resources, web-based resources, and any other necessary resources
- Modify software as necessary including, but not limited to, changing scripts, fixing scripts, and any other necessary modifications to solve the customer’s problem
- If a solution cannot be determined, the issue will be escalated to Engineering
- Perform application and database loading as necessary
- Write, change, modify scripts to perform customer in-house upgrades
- Follow any policies or procedures provided by the organization
- Participate in team meetings
- Work effectively and cooperatively with other team members
- Update the incident tracking database on a per incident basis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
- At least 4 years of experience in an IT-related role, with 2 year being in software development and / or support
- Must have experience with code debugging
- Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server
- Working knowledge of SQL coding and administration
- Must have software analysis experience, along with problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mobile Industry experience, a plus
- Knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of SAP ABAP Objects
- Ability to debug within SAP and Java environment
- Knowledge of SAP’s Solution Manager a plus
- Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance, Inventory Management, or SAP CRM a plus
- Knowledge of SAP Enhancement Packs and BADI’s a plus
