Vinfen supports thousands of adolescents and adults with psychiatric, developmental, and behavioral disabilities at more than 300 sites with 2,600 employees in eastern Massachusetts and Connecticut.

We are looking for compassionate, caring, dynamic staff to provide outreach services to clients living with psychiatric conditions in Lawrence. Working as part of a Collaborative Action Recovery (CAR) team outreach workers provide comprehensive rehabilitative case management to adults receiving services under the Community Based Flexible Supports (CBFS) model. We are looking for candidates to fill positions focused on community resources available to the clients we serve.

In this position, the outreach worker supports clients as citizens living within communities, and works to ensure access to community resources and social networks within the community. The outreach worker provides client and other team members with information and expertise about the community resources available to the clients served.

Schedule: 3 days 8a-4p, 2 days 12p-8p, 5th weekend rotation 10a-6p

These are fast paced, community based positions geared toward helping clients engage in the recovery process and become a part of their community. Using a motivational interviewing and strengths based rehabilitation approach, outreach workers engage with clients and help them evaluate their current life circumstances compared to their hopes, dreams and plans for the future.

To succeed in this role you will have good time management skills, good writing skills, strong organizational skills and prior Human Services experience. A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred, but experience may substitute for education. All candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and have held a valid US Drivers License for a minimum of one year. Additionally, this position requires a fully insured vehicle that you will use in the course of your daily work. You must be willing to transport clients in your vehicle.
