Garden City Veterinary Care, a full-service animal hospital provides exemplary care and service to our patients and their owners. 

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician.  As an LVT you will:

·         Support veterinarians in all facets of care

·         Provide anesthesia support

·         Accurately and in a timely fashion complete all necessary technical procedures and treatments, with strict adherence to hospital protocols

·         Assist and direct veterinary assistants in treatment area

·         Perform all other related duties as required.

Qualified applicants will have:

·         New York State veterinary technician’s license/permit or eligibility

·         Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environment, multi-tasking while paying close attention to detail

·         Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating a high level of initiative

·         High proficiency in patient handling and monitoring, supportive therapy, treatments and procedures.

·         Flexibility and the ability to accommodate occasional late hours due to the nature of the business

·         Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, colleagues and veterinarians
