Senior Photo Art Director

Rubie’s Costume Co, located in Westbury, New York (see www.rubies.com) is looking for a Sr. Photo Art Director with significant experience with on location photography to join our creative team. As a member of this dynamic and talented team you will art direct photography using Child and Adult models, hair and make up stylists, and staging.

The successful candidate will possess excellent aesthetic sense, photographic and design experience and be proficient in creative software and systems such as Quark Express, Photoshop and illustrator.

Job tasks:

1- Assist in managing the artistic translation of brand strategy and marketing communication to customers.

2- Ability to direct on location or studio photo shoots, pre production meetings, scheduling, selection of talent and resources.

3- Produce assigned projects on schedule and within assigned expenses.

4- Responsible for editing, organizing and final selection of assigned photography.

5- Schedule and train photographers
6- Partner with Production Manager and QC Teams to ensure that final images meet standards.

7- Apply aesthetic “eye” to convey brand strategy and editorial messages.

Skills and Qualifications:

-Solid creative experience with expertise in on location photo art direction

-Strong retail advertising and catalogue photo art direction experience

-Graphic page design experience preferred

-High quality standards

-Understanding of expense management

-Highly organized

-Great Team player

-Solid aesthetic sense

-Detail oriented

This is a part time/per diem job with the possibility of turning into full time.
