R&D Systems, Inc. is a biotechnology manufacturer of research reagents and assays. We are located in NE Minneapolis, just minutes from the University of Minnesota and downtown area. More company information can be found on our website, at www.RnDSystems.com . We are seeking a full-time candidate to contribute to our Marketing Department as a Science Content Developer.

THE POSITION

The primary responsibilities for the Science Content Developer will be to research, evaluate, develop, and maintain scientific content produced for the website, other electronic Marketing projects, and print. The person in this role will write and revise scientific copy, and oversee the production of graphical illustrations associated with a wide range of research disciplines, including immunology, cancer, stem cells, neuroscience, and development. The Science Content Developer works in teams with Graphic Designers, Web Designers, and Laboratory Scientists to ensure that projects are scientifically accurate, up to date, and meet R&D Systems criteria for quality and brand.  

WHO YOU ARE

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences, or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience. Necessary skills include a strong knowledge of biotechniques, computer and language proficiency (written and oral), an emphasis on detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with peers and senior management in reference to major projects. The candidate must be confident in their ability to produce accurate and well-written scientific content without the need for further editing and proofing. The Science Content Developer should have a broad interest in life sciences and the ability to quickly absorb unfamiliar research topics. Familiarity with various marketing concepts including branding, copywriting for response, and multi-channel marketing methods is a plus.
