SUMMARY: Manages drivers to achieve excellent customer service and key operating goals. These goals include meeting all customer delivery and pick up requirements, equipment performance standards, excellent safety requirements and retaining safe drivers who provide excellent customer service to help achieve our Mission, Vision and Values. Help with team member reviews and disciplinary when needed by Logistics Manager. Additional support is provided as needed by the Logistic Manager and Manager of Operations in the region.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Works with Logistic Manager and Manager of Operations in all matters related to scheduling routes for efficiency, repairs and maintenance on the tractors and imaging units. Ensures compliance with the FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation).
2. Manages work activities and schedules of driver team members. Actively monitors driver team member morale and effectively motivates team members entrusted to his/her care. Sets a good example for the team and realizes the link between motivated team members and profit margins.
3. Understands and trains driver team members in proper safe use of all equipment consistent with manufacturer's instructions. Does follow-up safety meetings with team members.
4. Schedules preventive maintenance on all equipment per Alliance policy.
5. Reviews all maintenance and repair bills to ensure appropriate and reasonable repairs and maintenance are performed. Also verifies correct pricing for work performed. Responsible for reporting tractor monthly mileage and generator hours per Logistic Department guidelines.
6. Directly supervises driver team members and the equipment for which they are responsible on a day-to-day basis.
7. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Alliance policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training drivers, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
-Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training required.
-Must possess knowledge and understanding of FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation) as it relates to personnel, operations, equipment, accidents, driver logs and maintenance.

1. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) in the state of residence is required.
2. Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT physical examination, plus pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
3. Hepatitis B screening or waiver required.
4. TB skin test or PPD required.
