Linguists (Farsi and Chinese)

Position:  Linguists (Farsi and Chinese)

Program:  NTOC – GNLA Program

Location:  Ft. Meade, MD area

Clearance:  TS/SCI with FS polygraph (CCA will be considered with CI)

·         Must have DNI experience.

·         Minimum of 10 years experience in translation and/or reporting of (Arabic/Farsi/Chinese) language communications, both graphic and audio.

·         3/3 scores or better on DLPT or equivalent

·         Firm knowledge in the following analytic processing tools and databases:  AGILITY, PINWALE, XKEYSCORE and HOMEBASE

·         Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in Computer Network Operations (CNO) applications, demonstrated working knowledge of CNO concepts, tools, and capabilities

·         Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in Computer Applications technology; demonstrate working knowledge in networking, encryption, and advanced Internet application programs.

GNLA Responsibilities:

Perform language-processing and collection duties as outlined by mission management and senior leadership directives; utilize analytical tools and techniques to perform collection tasks, as directed; engage leadership on mission goals, performance, quality issues and mission improvement methods and processes; translate items flagged for translation in accordance with established Agency translation guidelines and procedures; scan through targeted collection items and provide a detailed summary of content to fellow team members and mission management, when required; update working files and databases to reflect developments in target communication methods, capabilities and intentions; provide subject matter expertise and analytical insight to mission management, senior leadership and reporting staff when necessary.  Work towards QC capability as directed.
