Description
Seeking a senior level Linux System Administrator who possesses an enterprise view and an understanding of systems and technologies.

- Must have strong expertise with the RedHat Enterprise Linux (3,4,5)
- Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols. Experience with system protocols/services such as DNS, SMTP, SSH, Apache, MySQL. Ability to install, configure, deploy and troubleshoot packages and applications
- Experienced with enterprise class backup software (e.g. Bakbone, Legato) in a Linux/Unix environment.
- 3 years or more operating highly available and reliable storage systems (e.g. Netapp or SANs).
- The candidate should have understanding of clustering technologies such as BigIP
- Five or more years systems administration experience.
- Experience in multi-site / multi-OS environments.
- Experience with sites providing 100% uptime to customers via the internet.
- RedHat Certified Engineer certifications desired.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
- Seven or more years of technical experiences in a client-server environment
- Experience working with highly complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance
- Experience working with company products and services
- Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures
- Experience working with highly complex system implementations and organizational processes

- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of systems administration; for example, configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of Solaris (8,9,10) is highly desirable.
- Experience in Oracle installation and repair would be a plus, to provide backup to the Oracle dba team.
- Experience install, configuring, and maintaining SQL databases to support application development.
