Liquor Store Manager
About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Liquor Store Manager with the following qualifications:
* Previous liquor store management experience.
* Thorough experience with front- and back-end POS systems.
* Must be very computer literate.
* Lotto experience a plus!
* Candidate must know the "ins and outs" of the retail liquor store business (Off-premises liquor sales).
* A creative marketing mind is essential! There are many methods of marketing a store/product and we want someone with the desire to create business-building opportunities.
* A positive, can-do attitude -- no exceptions. As Manager, your attitude will affect your staff's attitude, which in turn affects your customers' experience.
Some job duties will include:
* Keeping abreast of industry and product trends and stocking/marketing the store accordingly
* Ordering product in the most cost-effective manner
* Ensuring there is enough inventory
* Maintain the product database on the back-end of the POS system
* Cashier duties as required
* Manage and train or assist in the training of all employees
* Prepare daily banks and make daily deposits
* Assist with monthly inventory
* Interact with customers in a pleasant and knowledgeable manner.
* Monitor the security system for theft.
* Must be able to handle cases of beer/wine/liquor without causing yourself physical injury.
* Other duties as required.
