Loan Officers Wanted
Description: A Loan Officer for Pleasant Valley Home Mortgage is responsible for soliciting clients, interviewing and informing applicants, and gathering supporting documentation to pre-approve a residential mortgage loan application. The Loan Officer will be responsible for diligently making phone calls and inputting information via computer to achieve contact ratios and sales goals set forth by management.
Responsibilities:
• Spend hours on phone responding to online loan inquiries
• Enter all loan data via computer using database, internet and other systems
• Interview applicants thoroughly and requests specific information for loan applications
• Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan
• Corresponds with or interviews applicants to resolve questions regarding application information
• Ensures loan paperwork is complete and accurate according to regulations and policy
• Confers with processor to aid in resolving mortgage application problems
Requirements:
• Bachelors’ Degree from accredited institution in Finance, Business or related field; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with FHA, VA and conventional loans, including requirements for qualification
• Experience working with Word, Excel, and Outlook; other software will be used, but training will be provided if unfamiliar
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude, exceptional work ethic, desire to succeed and have integrity
• Ability to obtain state licensing for each state in which Pleasant Valley Home Mortgage lends (prior criminal record may preclude the state from offering licensure)
Compensation:
• Salary plus commission, incentive bonus plan
