Senior Loan Underwriter
About the Job
A US regional bank seeks a Senior Loan Underwiter for their Brooklyn branch. Required:BA/BS Degree, plus 5-10 years of loan underwriting/documentation experience and product knowledge including commercial loans, commercial real estate with some residential experience. Applicants need relevant banking experience, plus proficiency in loan systems and MS Office Suite.
Duties: Interact with loan officers, management, lawyers and mortgage brokers involved in underwriting process of commercial real estate loans. Size/screen loans of submitted loan requests, underwrite commercial loans, perform due diligence, analyze financial statements. Analyze cash flows, rent rolls, review property leases and tax returns involved. Review partnership agreements, analyze third party reports, complete loan write ups for loan approvals and modifications, issue term sheets, retrieve information from brokers, borrowers and lawyers. Obtain all necessary information for loan closing and prepare loan files for closing.
