  • Oversee the efficient flow of all product through the supply chain by developing and implementing tactical and strategic solutions that optimize the mode, time and cost of product through the supply chain
  • Manage performance of service providers including level of service, systems, administrative, and contract compliance through performance management feedback tools
  • Partner with internal product sourcing groups to develop accurate short and long-term sourcing forecasts
  • Provide analytical support and recommendations to Target transportation management regarding contract/rate negotiations and service provider selection to manage our cost, capacity, coverage, and consistency.
  • Communicate network capacity needs to business partners and ensure capacity requirements are in-line with contractual commitments; analyze market conditions and identify opportunities to lower aggregate transportation cost
  • Develop, document and implement operational best practices for executing product movement through the supply chain; provide analytical support and recommendations to management

Requirements

  • 4-year degree
  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
