Job Title:         Logistics
Planner



Reports To:     Domestic Logistics Manager



FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt



 



Summary:  The Logistics Planner position is an integral part of
our operations team.  This position ensures operational excellence by
supporting both internal and external clients.  The main focus of this
position is to exceed our client’s expectations while managing carrier
information and ensuring the accuracy of load information within our systems.



 



Duties and
Responsibilities:
include the
following.  Other duties may be
assigned. 



 



  1. Customer and carrier
    follow-up on all transportation management related activities
  2. Answer and follow-up on
    all incoming calls  
  3. Provide clients with
    freight quotes as required (truckload, expedited etc)
  4. Schedule loads with our
    approved carriers to meet client requirements
  5. Enter and maintain
    shipment information within our ERP system
  6. Audit load information
    to ensure all the shipment details are correct
  7. Address client
    inquiries in a timely fashion
  8. Prepare or process all
    required shipping documentation
  9. Track and trace
    shipments to ensure on-time delivery to our clients
  10. Complete internal and
    client projects as required
  11. Other administrative
    duties as required

Strong computer skills – ERP/Microsoft Suite

Ability to understand and follow customer's individual guidelines


- Effective communication skills

- Strong customer service skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to multi-task

- Strong decision making and problem solving skills

- Ability to prioritize and manage time

- Min 3 years Customer Service / Logistics planning
experience

- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred



 



Education/Experience:



 



Associates/Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
