POSITION INFORMATION
Logistics Systems Administrator / DC3340
Position Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(COMPETENCIES):

•Liaison to MHE vendors as it relates to data handling.
•Work with all intelligent devices including A-frame, Vertical Shuttles, Sortation Control Systems, Pick to Light.
•Coordinate all data backups and data recovery procedures.
•Liaison between warehouse facility, WMS vendor and MIS Department for problem resolution.
•Support of all data processing hardware including printers and terminals.
•Total support of LAN (Local Area Network) configuration.
•Implementation of all future releases of software
•Coordinate inventory tracking of in stock supplies including forms, ribbons, etc. and report usage to MIS.
•Supervise 3-10 non-exempt staff.
•Maintenance of all control tables within the WMS including access security.
•Monitor the performance of the system application to ensure it is ready and available to all end users.
•Manage the peripheral interfaces with the WMS such as Neoware Terminals, RF Devices, and Printers.
•Manage and monitor end user access and rights and report to the SOX Compliance Department on a quarterly basis.
•Develop reporting tools for users to have better visibility into the WMS and Operating Metrics, whether via Crystal Reports or Cognos Report Studio.



Qualifications:

•Must be able to function in a team environment.
•BA/BS in Computer Science or other related technical field a plus but not required.
•2 to 3 years of proven technical and analytical experience with a production related industry.
•Solid working knowledge of all MS Operating Systems and MS Office applications.
•Solid working knowledge of Unix AIX and Unix SCO.
•Understand the requirements in writing SQL statements in Oracle.
•Excellent writing skills, computer and application skills.
•Strong presentation, analytical, and project management skills.
