SPS Technologies is the fastener division of Precision Castparts Corporation, a Fortune 500 corporation. SPS Technologies is an industry leader in the manufacture of high strength fasteners and precision components for commercial and military aircraft and jet engines. SPS has several temporary openings for skilled machinist at its Jenkintown, Pennsylvania facility. Two of these positions are available full time. The others are part time with hours available on Saturday and Sundays to work 12 hours, either 11PM to 11 AM, Friday & Saturday evenings/mornings or 11 AM to 11PM on Saturday and Sundays.

Job Functions
Successful candidates should have experience as follows:
- CNC Lathe or CNC Mill - Experience running and or setting up CNC Lathes with Fanuc or Maztrol controls preferred. Will consider experience running CNC Mills with Fanuc Controls. Candidates must be capable of performing complex work, holding close tolerances and performing some manual programming such as control and offset changes. The position requires working from detailed blueprints and making necessary mathematical calculations as well as the use of a variety of gages and measuring instruments. These positions are available part time on the weekends.
- Automatic Screw Machine Positions-
1.Experience running and or setting up multi-spindle screw machines. Individuals with experience working with Conematic, and or Shutte screw machines preferred. Candidates must have the ability to use standard shop mathematics, and a good understanding of blueprints/drawings and machine tooling. Experience with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments used to perform quality control checks on parts produced is required. These positions are available part time on the weekends.
2. Experience running and or setting up single spindle manually fed screw machines. Individuals with experience running Acmes are preferred. This is a 40 plus hour per week position, 11PM to 7 AM. Mon- Fri with Sat O.T.
- Nut Tappers – Experience with: Snow, Warner & Swasey or Kauffman tappers, CNC Tappers, hydraulic and mechanical presses, stampers and other related manual machining equipment. These positions are available part time on the weekends.
- Miscellaneous Manual Machines- Experience running manual metal working equipment such as mills, lathes, bench grinders or other finishing equipment. This is a 40 plus hour per week position, 11PM to 7 AM, Mon- Fri with Sat O.T.
- Centerless Grinders- Experience running Cincinnatti Centerless Grinders either manual or CNC operated. This position is available part time on the weekends.
