The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning all maintenance activities, procurement of materials and resources to include outside contract labor and services. This position is also responsible for maximizing the efficiency of the resources of the department by scheduling the Maintenance personnel in a manner that reduces equipment downtime and improves service to other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Provide support by ensuring the procurement & repair of both folio & non-folio parts, equipment & services to include capital expenditures
· Schedule preventive maintenance for plant equipment
· Plan and schedule outages
· Review PM’s on a regular basis and modify or introduce new PM’s as needed
· Coordinate current calibration records on critical instrumentation
· Coordinate repairs & materials in a timely manner
· Assist in scheduling work force to meet production & budgetary needs in an effective manner.
· Implement effective measures to insure timely delivery of repair materials and services
· Implement cost effective purchasing practices
· Function as backup supervisor as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· The successful candidate must possess 5+ years of Maintenance Planning and Maintenance Supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or will have an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Knowledge and proficiency using MS Word, Excel and Databases
