MANAGER, LOGISTICS (Purchasing & Warehouse Departments). The Logistics Manager provides leadership through managing specific products and departments. Oversees and coordinates the Purchasing and Warehouse activities to ensure effective and economical support for production of various good and services.
· Manage Purchasing to ensure materials, goods, labor, equipment, supplies, and other requirements are delivered in good order at an optimum time and cost.
· Experience with complex product and service procurement responsibilities with knowledge of pricing methods, contract, and capital projects.
· Work closely with different end-users and departments to meet demands.
· Effectively negotiate with suppliers and present appropriate financial analysis.
· Experience with supplier evaluations, certification, management, and performance requirements.
· Manage the Warehouse in Customer Order Pulling, Production Support, Packaging, Equipment Operation, Material Handling, Parcel Processing, Vendor Order (Consignment) Processing, Order Quality Control, Cycle Counting, and Vehicle Operation.
· Organize and process incoming materials from vendors. Organize and maintain customer backorder process.
· Manage Warehouse & Purchasing employees regarding procedures and functions.
· Knowledge of the logistics industry and distribution in a manufacturing environment.
· Medical equipment background helpful - supply sources and terminology used in purchasing highly technical medical equipment, systems, and services.
· Excellent communication skills, verbal & written with effective presentation and report skills.
· Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to work with all departments professionally.
