The manager is responsible for all aspects of collection functions. The incumbent ensures policies and procedures are developed and implemented, and effectively provides recommendations for changes to the Assistant Director. The manager must routinely interact with various internal and external contacts including MHS Management and managed care payers.
This position requires a candidate who demonstrates strong technical knowledge and expertise. The incumbent handles potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks in a professional manner. This position requires a positive role model for staff by working closely with them to promote teamwork and cooperation. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required in order to effectively interact with staff, management and payers. Communicates effectively with other internal departments to recommend database improvements.
This position assures that integrity is maintained by complying with the Methodist Health System policies and procedures. This manager must have the leadership skills to direct staff's accomplishments toward company and department goals. Must provide structure, encouragement and support to staff in accepting responsibility with accountability.
This manager must also manage the refund process. Must be a team builder and be able to analyze information in order to direct appropriate actions to maintain a favorable financial situation.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Director CBO. Must have 10 + years of previous experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
