Our Client, located near Detroit, Michigan is seeking a Restaurant Manager (Casino Hotel) with the following skills and/or abilities: 


 


Confident with ability to pass a very thorough FBI-Like Background Check.


 


Responsible for managing the smooth and efficient operation of the Hotel Restaurants, Lobby Bar, and Room Service.


 


Ability for the Restaurant Manager to drive business through creative and effective initiatives to include creating, implementing and maintaining programs creating new business and maximize existing business.


 


Train, counsel, guide and instruct staff in proper performance of their duties improving revenue through techniques in upselling, knowledge of product, marketing of products, and others ways to improve revenues.


 


Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures then administer all employee relations policies.


 


Ensure that Superior Guest Service levels are met according to Standard Operating Procedures.


 


Uphold and monitor all brand standards in the F&B operation to include inspecting staff as to uniforms, cleanliness, identification, etc.


 


Maintain management presence in the bar & restaurant during operations to ensure highest quality of service through the directing of the service sequence.


 


Create a strong liaison and team work between culinary and front of house.


 


Responsible for forecast of weekly, monthly and annual periods for restaurant revenue.


 


Daily monitoring of revenue, payroll and costs to ensure meeting forecast.


 


Order supplies to ensure proper par levels.


 


Ensure a safe working environment for team members.


 


Prepare daily team member work schedules and supervisor schedules.


 


Address and follow-through with all departmental maintenance and equipment needs.


 


Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members at all levels of the organization (extremely articulate) also manage department-related guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken.


 


Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and restaurant software and ability to learn new software.


 


Knowledge of appropriate union contracts.


 


Knowledge of wines.


 


Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
