(MANDATORY Casino) IT Director

About the Job

MANDATORY CASINO experience!


 


Our Client, located near Durant, Oklahoma is seeking an IT Director with the following skills and/or abilities: 


 


Confident with ability to pass a very thorough FBI-Like Background Check.


 


Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provides direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. 


 


Develop and manage application solutions for each department and to attain all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization. 


 


Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization.


 


Experience leading a team of 30 to 35 IT Professionals.


 


Serve as the primary interface to all other departments within the Casino and Tribal operations.


 


Regularly report the status of all IT efforts executive and Tribal management.


 


Assist all departments with setting best practices as they pertain to the application of technology.


 


Supervise as designated to include fostering teamwork and inclusiveness while recognizing and rewarding individual efforts, scheduling, conducting performance management with staff (review, address sub-standard performance), training, auditing/inspecting work of staff to ensure standards are met.


 


Primarily responsible for the human resources needs of the department to ensure adequate staffing for all areas IT.


 


Meet regularly with IT Department team managers and supervisors to discuss projects, issues, etc.


 


Meet regularly with outside departments in order to identify IT needs and problems.


 


Maintain up to date policies and procedures regarding all technology systems including but limited to standards of operation.


 


Follow established procedures and policies of the Tribe, the Casino, and local management. 


 


Monitor computer operations as they relate to both gaming and non-gaming systems.


 


Provide technical assistance and support to gaming and non-gaming applications.


 


Offer technology solutions through both internally developed as well as purchased software systems.


 


Actively seek educational opportunities for professional growth and development for all of the IT staff.


 


Guide the IT Department in sustaining a technology environment that is cutting edge while insuring the operational stability is maintained.


 


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Programming)/Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience is required, Master’s degree preferred.
