The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by performing the following duties:
•Establish and monitor performance measures related to equipment operation & efficiency
•Identify and obtain necessary resources (people and equipment) to troubleshoot problems.
•Drive continuous improvement in all performance areas.
•Develop and support flexible manufacturing processes to meet production requirements.
•Use safe practices. 
•Develop capital & expense forecasts & budgets to support business needs in areas of responsibility.

Qualifications include:
•Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college/university; preferred Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering background.
•5+ years experience as a Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineer.
•Demonstrated work history in a fast paced work environment
•Knowledge of machine mechanical, pneumatic and control systems.
•Understanding of mechanical design, dimensioning, tolerancing, and blueprint reading.
•Work independently with minimal supervision, good analytical and problems solving abilities.
•Excellent verbal and written communication needed along with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
•Demonstrated experience with manual and automated machines, problem solving tools, and appropriate documentation methods
•Ability to prioritize departmental tasks regularly based on overall company business needs.
•Strong computer knowledge, including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD.

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for engineering activities required for projects associated with new equipment or new product introduction or process transfers.  The successful candidate shall have the ability to work on multiple projects at one time that may involve changes or new product, processes, tooling or equipment introduction to improve quality and reliability and reduce cost.  Phases of project include conceptualizing, specification development, purchase, design and development, manufacturing introduction, training and production support.

Specifically, the Sr. Mechanical Engineer will:
•Implement projects per engineering and company procedures to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within established budget.
•Design and assist in the design or redesign of tools and/or equipment required for manufacturing processes.
•Investigate and develop new processes required to improve manufacturing operations. 
•Coordinate equipment development and delivery with selected contractors.
•Ensure that validation parameters are met for product specifications and equipment operation before new or changed processes or equipment are introduced to the manufacturing department.
•Maintain records of design and development activities and changes to document history as required by ISO and FDA procedures. Generate procedures necessary to support department and new equipment.
•Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications include:
•B. Sc. degree in Engineering or technical field with minimum of 3 years experience in equipment development OR equivalent work experience to a minimum of 10 years'
•Working knowledge of computer operations and an understanding of statistical techniques relating to process analysis.
•Experience in equipment development or mechanical design. 
•Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet analysis and general computer skills.  Experience in the use of CAD systems for mechanical drafting and design.
•Good communication skills.
