MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL

Located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, MSD develops, manufactures and markets cutting edge instruments and assay kits based on its proprietary electrochemiluminescence detection technology.

Position Summary:

As a Manufacturing Technician you will drive production efforts for existing products and multiple new contracts.

• Responsible for daily manufacturing activities of large scale liquid formulations and product packaging.
  
• Responsible for operating and maintaining lyophilization equipment and packaging lyophilized products.
  
• Writing and developing reports, batch records and SOP’s.
  
• Maintaining finished and raw material inventory.

Requirements:

The position requires an individual who possesses the following:

·         Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required (fluent).

·         Excellent knowledge of personal computers (Windows, MS Word/Excel

     applications) preferred.

·         Experience operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment desired (not

     required). 

·         Must be self-motivated.

Experience 

·         0-2 years laboratory or chemical manufacturing work experience

·         Minimum of a Bachelors degree in chemistry or related discipline.
