Marketing Manager Job Objective: The Web Marketing Manager position is an individual contributor position reporting directly to the CEO and Director of Web Marketing. The candidate will provide leadership and management of both graphic design and coding/development support for all online marketing projects, including: Websites, Web landing pages, banners, emails and other online marketing materials. The candidate will interact closely with Marketing, Technology, Compliance, Copywriters and other departments. Ideal candidate is a dynamic individual who can lead change by creating, mobilizing, and executing well-strategized online marketing initiatives to deliver results. This position leads and manages the development, expansion and constant improvement of the Company?s websites, landing pages and E-commerce marketing efforts. If you possess the perfect balance of excellent direct response marketing skills; strong P&L management (ROI) and forecasting experience; a proven web-based marketing track record; and the seasoned ability to develop and launch significant new programs from both a strategic and tactical perspective, then this is an incredible career opportunity for you to work with some of the best Direct To Consumer marketers in the dietary supplement industry. Bachelor?s degree and 5-7 years related experience in direct response marketing with at least 3-5 years recent concentration in web-based results-oriented marketing preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ? Passion for E-commerce. ? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Computer Science. MBA or graduate degree preferred. ? Minimum of 5+ years experience in sales, marketing, e-commerce or project management experience and supervisory experience. ? Technologically proficient ? ability to learn, understand and work in many different software applications. ? Strong analytical skills -ability to work with multiple, lengthy spreadsheets accurately, yet quickly. ? Solid understanding of the Internet ? including search engines, browsers, interactive media, tools, technologies and analytics. ? Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, time-management and organizational skills. ? Solid communication skills, with a customer-centric approach and a focus on concisely written communication across all levels. ? Ability to influence decision-making and communicating ideas to cross functional teams and all levels of management. ? Established ability to learn and contribute quickly. ? Working knowledge of Web-based authoring languages including HTML, XML, Flash, JavaScript and CSS ? Thorough understanding of Direct To Consumer (DTC) marketing ? Must be self-motivated and a strong leader ? Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational skills, use of critical thinking to resolve problems ? Must have excellent interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills ? Comfortable working with a variety of highly skilled outside contractors Primary Responsibilities ? Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates -- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. ? Making Decisions and Solving Problems -- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. ? Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships -- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time. ? Lead, manage and motivate a staff of web marketing professionals, including Web Designers, Project Managers, Web Marketing Coordinators and Editorial Writers. ? Collaborate & coordinate with the creative team which includes multiple outside contractor web marketing professionals, including Web Marketing Director & Media Buyer. ? Should be able to review and evaluate marketing copy. ? Strong English & proofreading skills required. ? Report on web initiatives to senior management and make recommendations for continuous improvement. ? Maintains an ongoing awareness of direct mail initiatives and monitor results. Make recommendations and coordinate the implementation of online initiatives. ? Supports and communicate all Company marketing policies and procedures especially as it pertains to compliance. ? Create and execute marketing plans for acquisition products. ? Promote and increase subscriber base of company's e-letters through online lead generation and free trial offers. ? Research new advertising channels and joint venture opportunities with the assistance of the media buyer. ? Coordinate cross promotion of acquisition marketing efforts with paid search. ? Create and execute marketing plans for house file promotion efforts including bump offers, re-order offers and auto-order offers. ? Maintain and execute an ongoing schedule for marketing products in the company?s e-letters. ? Analyze marketing results and make recommendations for future marketing efforts for acquisition, lead gen and house file efforts. ? Maintain an ongoing awareness of competitor?s web activities. Obtain qualitative and quantitative data and conduct pertinent research to compile competitive information. ? Establish, track, and measure business metrics of success such as web traffic, abandon rate, conversion, cost per click dollar, average order size, ROI ? Execute email campaigns with internal marketing partners and external vendors utilizing Web-based software ? Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during the campaign timeline ? Communicate and update campaign status to internal departments and external vendors & contractors ? Create improvements and make recommendations for highly effective and successful campaigns ? Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve processes ?
