Global manufacturer of welded industrial fabricated components is seeking a MATERIALS MANAGER for their live custom order product group. The opportunity will be based in West Central New York . This is a growth oriented role that will be involved with live order product manufacturing and assembly. This role has growth potential to move into Divisional Materials Management in the very near future.
This role will focus on streamling the materials management group to synch material delivery no matter what custom order is taking place. This role will focus on a strong planning background and driving LEAN throughout the materials group. The role will effectively manage functional resources including purchasing, supplier relations, production control, and the division value stream to insure succesful shipment of custom ordred product.
To be considered we are looking for candidates that meet the following criteria:
1) Must have minimum of Bachelors Degree with preference for MBA
2) Must be currently living/or open for relocation to West Central New York State
3) 5+ years of Materials / Inventory Management experience in Manufacturing environment
4) APICS Certification desirable
5) Knowledge of forecasting, inventory control, scheduling, MRP, CRP, shop control and business systems
6) Preference to candidates with Lean Manufacturing concepts
7) Preference to candidates that understand AS400
