LaGrange, IL& Research, design, develop cylinder heads for diesel locomotive engines, ancillary components & valve train components. Design Camshafts, Rocker Arms, Valve Bridges, Lash Adjusters, Vales & Valve guides. Conduct design review of engine component systems w& moderate to extreme complexities. Support quality & functionality of valve train components. Investigate failed components to develop casual chains & more reliable components to prevent recurrence. Replace manual 23-station transfer cylinder head machining line to 10-station automated mfg. cell. Improve mean time between failures on locomotives.
