MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

About the Job

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain company's presence on the Internet and intranet. Revise and add content on a daily basis. Ensure sites are updated in a timely manner and content is accurate and consistent.
• Recommend and place content on the Internet and intranet for clients of Creative Production Services, including Advertising and Marketing Communications.
• Work in a team environment with Corporate Communications specialists ensuring client satisfaction and that communications goals are met. Consult with sister companies to find best Internet and intranet solutions.
• Identify and develop new client relationships in departments that do not currently make use of Creative Production Services.

Education & Work Experience:

• 4-year college degree strongly preferred, especially with a concentration in public relations, media, journalism, corporate communications, or English. Strong writing and web programming skills, including debugging and optimizing required.
• Strong understanding of HTML and CSS preferred, as is knowledge of RSS, XML, Javascript, and Web 2.0 technologies.
• Requires specific knowledge and experience in web page design and development in a Windows environment, including, but not limited to, Photoshop, Flash, etc.
• Experience working on TeamSite, SharePoint, TargetVision, or similar content management system is helpful.
• Experience and proficiency in the use of various software applications on both MAC and PC platforms preferred.
• Experience with hands-on production of web multimedia desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner to Creative Production Services Manager.
• Strong written and oral communications skills to effectively communicate difficult concepts to various audiences.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to tap both internal and external resources to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated flexibility to adjust priorities to meet ever-changing client needs and deadlines. Must be able to learn quickly and have the ability to accomplish tasks under limited supervision and short deadlines. Have strong decision-making ability.
• Demonstrated client service skills.
