Job Purpose: | Supports the day-to-day operations of Emergency Physicians Medical Center by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties. | |||
Education: | Graduation from accredited training program, and two (2) years related work experience required. Requires successful completion for certification as a licensed practical nurse, paramedic, or military corpsman. | |||
Skills and Qualifications | Experience in drawing blood samples in adults and children required. Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory techniques, clinical procedures and first aid. Must be highly attentive to detail and highly organized. Must be able to work independently. Must value working in a positive team environment with shared responsibilities. Must have the ability to manage a number of activities concurrently. Must posess excellent communications skills both in person and over the phone with experience communicating with a variety of healthcare providers. Must have basic computer skills such as Internet, E-mail, word processing and spreadsheets required. | |||

Overview of Responsibilities | ||||
The Emergency Physicians Medical Center medical assistant will help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently by performing administrative functions such as registration functions, medical records, bookkeeping and answering phones in addition to handling basic clinical and laboratory duties. | ||||
