EOE-m/f/d/v MICU DIRECTOR/ DIRECTOR OF CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE We are seeking a BC/BE Academic Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Physician for its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine which currently has 9 full-time physicians, 8 pulmonary and critical care fellows, and 1 sleep fellow. The MICU shares at 20-bed ICU with the CCU. We are a NYS Regional Level I Trauma Center, with services relevant to critical care including interventional cardiology, cardiac and thoracic surgery and neuro- surgery. The Department of Medicine, under the direction of Michael S. Niederman, MD, Chairman, has 52 fel- lows and 83 medical residents.The successful candidate must possess relevant experience in protocol development, quality management, teaching, and research in critical care medicine. Electrophysiology Our facility has 7 FT staff members, a 14-bed Neuroscience ICU and 6 step-down beds. We have a nationally rec- ognized Stroke Center with full interventional capabilities and we conduct epilepsy and movement disorder sur- gery. The tumor program has the only CyberKnife in the region. We wish to develop a cognitive disorders program and enhance our EMG and EEG capabilities. An epilepsy monitoring program is being implemented. There is also a well developed clinical trials center. The successful candidate must be interested in quality patient care and teaching, and will be strongly encouraged to participate in research.
