Job Description

MRI Technologist

With approximately 2,300 team members and more than 1,000 clients across 46 states, Alliance HealthCare Services is the largest provider of advanced outpatient diagnostic imaging services in the U.S., focusing on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography/ Computed Tomography (PET/CT) and CT through its Alliance Imaging division as well as radiation therapy through its Alliance Oncology division. We are looking for 2 PRN MRI Technologists. One to work every Monday from 7am to 4 pm in Winslow, AZ and another to work 2 days a week in Casa Grande, AZ.

Summary: The MRI technologist is responsible for patient safety and the perfomance of high quality MR studies. He/she is also responsible for insuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators may also be part of an MR technologist's role.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

2. Produce high quality diagnostic images

3. Effective Communication with customers and/or radiologists

4. Training new technologist and/or PC's

5. Trouble-shooting the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.)

Associate’s degree (A.A.) required, as well as a minimum of one year of MR experince is preferred, however 2+ years of Radiology and/or CT experience is acceptable.

A valid ARRT license, CPR and state licensure is required.
