About the Job

The car battery assembly plant in Geneva, IL is seeking qualified applicants for multiple machine operator positions in varied positions.  This is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined and team oriented candidates with interest in working in a manufacturing setting.


Earning potential ranges from $16 - $22+/hr. according to productivity level by incentive reward.


Must be experienced in running machinery as well as have the mechanical skills to clear jambs, conduct minor maintenance to keep the machine running (adjustments, calibrations, lubrications, etc.)


Capable of working in a high speed, mechanical, physical environment.  The plant is not temperature controlled subject to temperatures according to weather conditions.


Available shifts are for 2nd shift (2 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) and for 3rd shift (10 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. or 11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.)

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends.


Pre-employment background check, physical, drug screen and proof of employment eligibility required.  Verification of education diploma or certificate required.

·         As a contributing member of a production team it is necessary that you are on your feet the majority of the day

  • Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator)

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision


·         Verification of High School Diploma or Equivalency required

·         Must be able to work all shifts up to 12 hours including weekends, as overtime may be required due to product demands or staffing shortages

  • Troubleshooting or repair experience required

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to read and understand all production specifications required including weekends

  • Ability to neatly and accurately record required data

  • Fork lift or material handling experience preferred

  • Machine troubleshooting or repair experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills required
