Machine Operator/Assembler

A leading manufacturer of semiconductors and other microelectronics has a contract position available for a Machine Operator/Assembler.

Job Description/Duties and Responsibilities:

The Machine Operator/Assembler:


  • Tests filters.
  • Changes filter rolls and labels them correctly.
  • Loads and unloads equipment.
  • Weighs samples.
  • Sets up machine equipment.

For more than 40 years, this Company has served high technology markets by purifying, protecting and transporting critical materials used in manufacturing processes. These critical materials are often the very building blocks in producing many of the world's leading microelectronic products. Customers throughout the Semiconductor, Data Storage and Fuel Cell industries rely upon Our Client to precisely control microcontamination and reliably handle substrates. Improving customers' yields quickly is what drives this Company's experience.


This is an estimated 4-6 month contract position, through Volt Workforce Solutions - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Woburn, MA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies on the East Coast.



Requirements:

Required Skills for this Machine Operator/Assembler position include the following:


  • Must be able to comprehend drawings and documents such as work instructions and procedure manuals written in the English language
  • Ability to accurately record Test results
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Lead/Supervisor and peers
  • Job requires ability to:


    • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time
    • Use hands to dinger, handle, or feel
    • Reach with hands and arms
    • Move throughout the department/facility
    • Stoop, kneel crouch or crawl
    • Communicate with supervisors or peers
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


  • Clean room experience a plus but not necessary
