About the Job

Position Summary and Objectives:

This position leads their assigned packaging line activities and staff while ensuring the efficient operations of their equipment including but not limited to the following tasks:


Essential Job Functions: (list most important first)

  • Lead to maintain production OEE expectations and productivity guidelines
  • Line set up, start-up, operation, clearance, changeover, cleaning
  • Machine setup, startup, operation, changeover, cleaning, safety
  • Trouble-shoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic packaging and processing equipment on the line.
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery on the assigned packaging line.
  • Ensure correct raw and packaging materials (only) are used on the line.
  • Pre-op and hourly checks performed and documented
  • Attendance complete and correct w/in 15 minutes of start of shift
  • Line records and reports completed correctly and on time
  • Line coverage during shift with trained employees
  • Line set up correctly for on-coming shift
  • Ensure adequate housekeeping, crew assignments, communication, and training are maintained on assigned line during shift;
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of and compliance with Company Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures.
  • Review and assure appropriate knowledge of and adherence to Quality/GMP standards by all staff in assigned area.
  • Assist in audit readiness tasks, including daily line support training, reporting and inspection
  • Address and/or escalate and document all Quality/GMP compliance issues or concerns.
  • Report problems including personnel issues to Supervisor
  • Refer overtime work requirements to Supervisor





Essential Job Requirements: (list most important first)

  • 2 - 5 years of experience operating and performing maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve production targets, lead people and activities
  • Ability to quickly learn and comply with Company safety, quality, Good Manufacturing, and other required policies and procedures
  • High School diploma/equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred


Additional Information or Requirements:

This environment exposes the associate to noise levels and equipment that requires the use of personal protective equipment including ear plugs, hair restraints, lab smocks, etc. and restricts certain items from entering the Production area such as jewelry, cell phones, artificial nails, lashes, etc.  Standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly is necessary to accomplish this work effectively.
