The employees in this position are responsible for supporting a PLC controlled 120” wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line.  We run 3 shifts, 5 days a week, to support a continuous production environment. 

The operation will include set up, operation, breakdown and cleaning of all components, and the development of proper processing parameters during operation to optimize line speeds and yields.  Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing production preferred, as well as prior forklift certification or experience.

The responsibilities include:

-          Understanding of how to use a touch screen (PLC) production line

-          Ability to learn and understand technology associated with plastics processing

-          Must maintain a clean and safe working area, while following all safety procedures & regulations

-          Follow all  company policies, including environmental policy and notify supervisor of any concern

that may affect work area or company property

-          Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

-          High School Diploma

-          Ability to read and write English

-          Good verbal communication skills

The candidate should have the following personal skills and abilities:

-          Flexibility to cover any shift with prior notification

-          Ability to work overtime if required

-          Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

-          Stand and walk for the majority of an 8 hour shift

-          Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

-          Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs occasionally
