About the Job Opportunity:  As the Machinery Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and support to ensure the reliable operation of plant machinery and assist in reactive technical troubleshooting of day-to-day operations in a large integrated petrochemical complex. The Machinery Engineer determines the root cause of equipment failures and performs machinery performance evaluations, analyzing equipment trends and data to reduce life cycle costs.

You will also provide direction to resolve field related problems involving rotating equipment, and provide technical support in capital project development, installation, start-up, and machinery turnarounds. This will include developing and implementing equipment asset plans using Reliability Centered Maintenance and other reliability techniques, and providing technical support for risk based analysis on machinery work lists.

We are very interested in candidates with the following background: 

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Machinery engineering/rotating equipment engineering experience in petroleum refining, petrochemical, or polyolefins operations  
• Knowledgeable in large centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, API/ANSI pumps, steam or gas turbines, large gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
• Experienced in machinery vibration analysis
• Ability to perform root cause failure and analysis
• Familiarity with industry standards such as API, AGMA, and NEMA
