Machinist - Swing Shift
The Opportunity:Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Machinist position. Machinist – Swing ShiftResponsibilities: - Operate lathe, milling machine, grinders, welders, press brake, shear, punch and hand tools for the fabrication of tools, jigs, fixtures and repair parts to support manufacturing and engineering needs.
- Develop schedule for and perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment.
- Track shop cutting tool usage and sharpen or replace cutting tools.
- Adhere to all shop safety procedures.
- Follow and improve shop processes.
Qualifications: - 2 year trade school and 2 years machinist experience
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
