Mainframe DBA z/OS – Immediate Contract Opportunity…

We are looking for a mainframe Data Base Admin, DB2 z/OS for a min 6month contract position with our client in the south east suburbs of Minneapolis. 

The DBA will be responsible for installs, upgrades, configuration and mainframe DB maintenance and optimization.  The DBA will work cross functionally (developers, architects, security, etc) to ID and troubleshoot programming and testing process issues and help define best practices. 

Candidates needs strong analytical and communication skills

It’s critical that the candidates most recent experience centers around DB2 z/OS in a Mainframe Environment with a minimum of 7yrs mainframe DB2 DBA experience.

In addition, candidates will need at least 3 years competency with the following skills and should be prepared to outline their experience in these areas.

• Rexx
• D/Prop and Q/REP
• IMS
• SQL Server
• Sybase
• Oracle
