Wawona Packing Company in Cutler, CA is looking for a Maintenance Controls Technician.  The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment and machinery used in a state of the art fruit packing environment.  Industrial electrical experience and skills are essential for this position.  Prior food manufacturing experience and experience with Computerize Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) is preferred.

To qualify for our openings, you must meet the following requirements:

• Have 3 to 5 years of industrial experience in electronics, instrumentation, maintenance, calibration and process controls.
  
• Thorough knowledge of instrumentation, including calibration, repair and installation.
  
• Be able to install/program/troubleshoot Industrial Electrical Equipment, PLC, AC/DC Variable Speed Drives, and Human Machine Interfaces.
  
• Have complete knowledge of all current and voltage characteristics such as single phase, 3 phase, 110v, 220v, 440, 12.5kv and d.c. voltage.
  
• Instrumentation & Control Technician certification is highly desired.
  
• Have working knowledge of solid state circuitry and programmable controllers.
  
• Be able to work with various PC programs and operating systems.
  
• Have excellent time management, communications, decision making, human relations and organization skills. Able to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  
• Be able to work scheduled hours which could include shift work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform calibration, preventive maintenance and testing of equipment.
  
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems and repair plant instrumentation and process systems.
  
• Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
  
• Communicate with operators and maintenance personnel on operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic components and equipment.
  
• Active participation in plant safety processes.
