DescriptionHave basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power and control devices. Troubleshoot, repair and adjust electrical and electronic units. Use all standard electrical test equipment. Layout, assemble, install and test electical fixtures, control equipment, and wiring. Read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, circuit diagrams or specification. Maintain and repair wiring, motors, switchboards, switches and electrical mechanisms. Inspect, maintain and repair various types of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. Inspect, clean and lubricate motors. Perform minor welding such as fabricating and installing brackets, braces, panel mounts, etc. Understand AC & DC current, circuits, conductors, and terminology. Know the various sizes and uses of different kinds of conduit, fittings, joints, and equipment for channeling services throughout the plant. Fit and connect conduit using various tools necessary to layout, cut, thread and bend as well as cutting holes. Work with and around live circuits and make hot taps when required.
