Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities include: 
  • Replace light bulbs and ballasts.

  • Perform building plumbing repairs.

  • Make small mechanical and hardware repairs.

  • Repair and re-key locks.

  • Other duties as assigned to assist engineers in performing plant maintenance and operations.

  • Perform periodic preventive maintenance of all equipment.

  • Use blueprints, drawings, and manuals to carry out various duties.

  • Utilized established safety practices, rules regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Report all pending items of work held over to next day.

  • Report all critical items to Chief Engineer for further direction.

Qualifications:


  • Standard terms, practices, procedures and methods common to mechanical and electrical trades.

  • General operation of various building mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Basic electrical wiring and components.

  • Safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments.

  • Mechanical systems and components such as air handlers, pumps bearings, sheaves, etc.

  • Electronics and controls to identify malfunctions and assess repair requirements.
