Maintenance Mechanic

 Key Responsibilities:

·         Personally adheres to all safety procedures and policies.

·         Knows and follows the Lock Out/Tag Out procedure.

·         Represent the Mechanical team in the Safety Meetings when required.

·         Troubleshoots immediate mechanical issues with the diaper lines and ancillary equipment.

·         Participates in down day maintenance as needed.

·         Design and install parts as needed.

·         Redesign equipment as necessary to eliminate ongoing issues.

·         Perform daily mechanical audits as needed.

·         When making parts from example parts, make a shop sketch and coordinate with Engineering to have a drawing made.

·         Coordinate with others to ensure all work and storage areas are clean and neat.

·         Must be prepared to do any job on maintenance day, to get the line up and running in the least amount of time.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required


• Formal training a plus (Tech school, military training, certifications, etc.)


• Welding skills and familiarity with machine shop equipment (mill, lathe) a plus


• Minimum 4 years experience with: high speed manufacturing processes; installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining mechanical systems


• Technical knowledge of basic mechanics: levers, pulleys, gears, belts, etc.


• Able to read blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics


• Work safely and follow quality assurance practices


• Team player


• Good oral and written communication skills
