CMC Steel Arizona is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Mechanic (Mechanical Technician).

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Constant vigilance for safety of personnel and equipment;

·         Maintain/ troubleshoot the mechanical equipment for the melting / casting / rolling operations  and all related equipment;

·         Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all facilities equipment;

·         Dedicated to reducing downtime and process improvements;

·         Continuous improvement of the equipment and the process;

·         Willingness to set high expectations and a commitment to achieving them.

Preference shall be given to candidates whom possess the following:

·         A passion for safety of self and team;

·         Communicates and works effectively with others in order to accomplish tasks and achieve the goals of the work group. Ability to distinguish and align personal needs with the needs of the group. Maintains focus on obtaining goals of the division;

·         Strong desire to lead and set the example and willing to challenge traditional ways of doing things;

·         Knowledge of the melting, casting and rolling  process and related equipment in a steel mill;

·         Self motivated, goal oriented, cost oriented, organized and analytical;

·         Team player with excellent communication skills both verbal and written;

·         At least 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience;

·         An understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience with the following:

o        Machine and component assembly;

o        Industrial hydraulics;

o        Welding and fitting;

o        Lubrication techniques and applications;

o        Material handling equipment;

o        Basic electricity.

This position will be located in Mesa, AZ, just east of Phoenix, AZ .
