POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all facility buildings, production and support equipment. Also provides support by performing daily preventative maintenance tasks and assisting with mechanical repairs. This position will work primarily on the 1st shift: but requires a rotating schedule for 2nd shift or on-call status for 3rd shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Strong electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills.
· Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment problems and determine action necessary to repair.
· Troubleshoot and repair of AC and DC motor drives, and other general components.
· Dismantle machines, make adjustments and install replacement parts.
· Perform all mechanical and electrical duties as required on new and/or modified equipment.
· Maintain equipment logs and records as required.
· Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.
· Remove, repair, reassemble, align and/or adjust mechanical components such as gearboxes, chain drives, rollers, conveyors, etc.
· Read and understand electrical schematics, basic troubleshooting skills, basic wiring procedures, pulling wire and terminating, use basic testing equipment.
· Maintain hazardous waste and lubricant storage area.
· Changing of filters.
· Experience with 480v and lower.
Qualifications: Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication. CMM Program and MS Office experience is desired. Must have available adequate tools.
Education: A.A. degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years hands on welding experience and five years hands on experience as an industrial electrician.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of CMM Program and basic MS Office Software.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and no heating or air conditioning. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
