Maintenance Supervisor for a  Northern NJ Cheese Manufacturer

Job description:   The Maintenance Supervisor will perform duties which support the Company’s equipment repairs & maintenance   This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

·          Operate boiler within guidelines of state & local agencies including proper individual licensing.  Must have Black Seal or higher.

·          Provide repairs to cheese processing equipment and packaging machinery

·          Maintain adequate parts inventory

·          Maintain structure of building and utilities

·          Prepare comprehensive preventative maintenance program for approval by management

·          Work with outside contractors as necessary

·          Provide proper time sheets for all maintenance department employees

·          Schedule work on a weekly basis for review by management

·          Responsible for all procedures relating to maintenance department pursuant to HACCP program

·          Installation of new equipment, test run & check   

·          Responsible for department budget requirements

·          Supervision and training of  1-2 staff

·          Must speak English, Spanish a plus

Requirements:

·          5-7 years experience

·          Strong electrical background; experience with PLCs & pneumatics

·          Black Seal or higher required

·          A/C & Refrigerator license or experience

·          Experience with process & packaging machines a plus

·          Experience in scheduling projects and PMs

·          Experience in supervising/training staff

·          Flexible work schedule 7 days a week
