SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for providing hands on support for the maintenance of assets, systems, utilities, instrumentation & controls, and calibration program for the plant. Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and oversee time-critical repairs. Plan and manage routine corrective and preventive maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. Promote predictive maintenance program to increase overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.

Under direct supervision of Facility Manager

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED Direct supervision of maintenance personnel and outside contractors as defined by the Facility Manager.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

?         Maintain building systems and equipment in safe and efficient operating condition (boiler, WFI, DIUF, etc.)

?         Make improvements to existing equipment to improve operation where possible.

?         Work with Management to develop capital plans for equipment replacement and or addition of new equipment

?         Responsible for operation of company?s CMMS system

?         Work with Engineering to implement facility capital projects as required

?         Responsible for the execution of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance program

?         Oversee and manage the Integra LifeSciences? calibration program.

?         Provide calibration technician with technical guidance and direction.

?         Evaluate instruments and control systems based on equipment type and recommend upgrades.

?         Collaborates with Engineering Department to develop controls upgrades.

?         Assists in implementation and validation of new controls and instruments.

?         Troubleshoots, installs, removes, repairs, calibrates, and tests electrical, electronic and pneumatic instruments used in production, laboratory, or shop.

?         Diagnoses equipment failures and operates production equipment to check work as required.

?         Communicate effectively with management.

?         Establish goals and objectives for direct report(s) and evaluate performance.

?         Perform any other related duties as required.

 

 

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

 

?        2 year Technical Degree

?        7-10 years maintenance experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries with minimum two years supervisory experience

?        Knowledge of Engineering Change Controls, ISO, QSR and design Control procedures.

?        Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written). 

?        Experience in clean rooms and or Lyophilization a plus.

?        Experience in HVAC and refrigeration a plus

?        Must have demonstrated knowledge computers and business software (MS office, MS project).

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

?         Willing to perform other related tasks

?         Able to work with minimal supervision

?         Able to start, stop and operate all equipment.

?         Willing to be on an emergency standby schedule created by the Facility Maintenance Manager to handle emergency calls at all Integra Facilities.

?         Must be available for overtime in emergency situations, and flexible work hours.

Must be able to travel on a very limited basis for training, equipment selection, and factory acceptance tests or as other functions require
