At McMaster-Carr, we have been supplying the equipment that keeps the wheels of industry turning for over 100 years.  Our diverse product line caters to a customer base that spans manufacturing, machining, maintenance, medicine, and movie-making.  We are looking to place a Maintenance Supervisor in our Elmhurst, Illinois location. 

As our business and our workplace are dynamic, our maintenance supervisor must be ready for a challenge.  You will play a significant role in making this site operationally effective for our employees and our customers.  Specifically, the maintenance supervisor will oversee our facilities team responsible for upkeep of the entire facility.  You will supervise personnel over three shifts and be responsible for our conveyor, HVAC, electrical and furniture systems. 

The facility maintenance supervisor should be highly responsive to the variety of issues and challenges that face a distribution center every day. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background that includes experience with conveyors, PLCs, HVAC systems to include boilers, chillers and roof top units, fire prevention systems, fabrication and electrical distribution systems.  Additionally, the ideal candidate should have 5 to 10 years of managerial experience as the job includes prioritizing and managing the day to day work load of the maintenance team.
