Maintenance Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION
Temple-Inland is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at it's Tracy, CA plant. The essential function of the Maintenance Supervisor is to support plant operations to run quality boxes at OEM speeds in a safe, clean, well organized and environmentally compliant plant. Lead, manage and supervise the maintenance department including approximately twelve mechanics/electricians. Provide a high standard of service and support to production. Maintain an effective and efficient preventive maintenance program. Assist with removal of constraints to maximize quality, efficiency, and productivity and to minimize waste. Maximizes efficiencies and minimizes overtime by ensuring all resources are scheduled and utilized efficiently. Teach problem solving/trouble shooting techniques. Lead and direct with an expectation and requirement of perfectly safe behavior and an accident free workplace. Train employees relative to procedures and equipment and evaluate crew performance. Lead, manage, motivate and develop all crewmembers to achieve their full potential. Organize and help administer capital projects. Serve on and provides support to the plant safety and environmental teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Five years relevant experience in high-speed manufacturing environment. Box plant maintenance experience preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in engineering sciences or equivalent experience. Good communication, interpersonal, leadership, administrative and organizational skills. Working knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Windows, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of Excel. Must have a demonstrated proficiency and demonstrated capability in the following areas: Sustained achievement of maintenance standards and equipment reliability and optimum performance targets; Working knowledge of PLC's and personal computers; Industrial electrical and electronic systems and troubleshooting; Mechanical and power transmissions; Sustained achievement of performance targets; Demonstrated in depth technical maintenance knowledge; Demonstrated management and supervisory skills; and Development of technically strong maintenance team.
