Reports to:  Maintenance Manager

 

POSITION OBJECTIVES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Daily Managing (50%)

·        Supervision of Employees

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

8 Direct – Mechanics

 

Education & Skill Requirements

·        2 year degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance or Technology

·        5 years experience in industrial maintenance with a food processing background

·        Certifications in Sanitary welding, Boiler operation, Waste water treatment, and Electrical systems beneficial, but not required

·        Knowledge of Industrial electrical systems, Welding, Boilers, Pneumatics and Hydraulics

·        Computer proficient – MS Office, AutoCAD

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Proactive problem-solver

·        Detail-oriented

·        Able to make decisions quickly

·        Progressive leadership and excellent supervisory skills

 

Physical Requirements

·        Must be able to lift/carry machine parts

·        Must be able to build and tear down machines in plant environment

·        Must wear protective/sanitary gear in designated areas of the plant and while doing certain tasks (i.e. hair/beard nets, earplugs, environmental suit, goggles, welding shield.)
