Maintenance Team Leader

Position Overview:
As a member of the Momentive Maintenance Organization, the Maintenance Team Leader will supervise maintenance activities for one or more of the plant operating areas and will be responsible for managing daily maintenance shop workload and union maintenance personnel. The maintenance team leader will work directly with area operations and the engineering team to coordinated timely and effective repairs and improvements to plant equipment in support of plant production. The Maintenance Team Leader will report to the Waterford Maintenance Manager.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
· The Maintenance Team Leader will develop maintenance priorities and ensure process reliability in support of production requirements. Implement root cause corrective actions.
· Drive significant improvements in maintenance practices, costs, and environmental health & safety challenges.
· Ensure completion of maintenance compliance activities. Leadership of hourly craft will be a significant part of the responsibility of this position.
· Financial responsibility of maintenance expense/capital budget accounts in support of manufacturing operation plan.
· Candidate should demonstrate strong customer focus, with a clear understanding of how maintenance affects production.

Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years experience in a chemical/industrial manufacturing environment.
· Minimum 5 years of construction/maintenance supervision experience.

Required Work Experience:
· Demonstrated ability to lead/supervise a diverse union workforce and contractors.
· Proven ability to lead maintenance activities and motivate work crews.
· Effective communication skills, ability to multitask, and good time management skills.
· Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
· Bachelors degree in technical discipline.
· Six Sigma Greenbelt training.
· Experience with SAP maintenance and purchasing transactions.
· Experience with managing capital investment projects and maintenance expense budgets.
