Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for addressing trouble calls and performing associated maintenance and repair activities on equipment and basic and complex machines. The position assists engineers and technicians with advanced repairs. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 



  • Manage Ultra Filtration System (waste water treatment system)

  • Manage water softener system

  • Change fluids and filters on shop equipment

  • Clean sonic cleaners, power washers, and power line

  • Schedule pick-ups for trash streams (wet, cardboard, metal, comingled recycling and pallets)

  • Collect shop floor trash, recyclables, cardboard and pallets

  • Clean tanks on shop equipment

  • Move machines, containers, and furniture with forklift

  • Perform monthly fire extinguisher and fork truck battery PM

  • Perform weekend project work (ceiling cleaning, relamping, and floor refinishing)

  • Fix plumbing issues (clear clogs, toilets, valves, leaks)

  • Manages hazardous waste and universal waste satellite areas

  • Orders oils, filters, solvents, cleaning solution/powders, gloves, and other consumables

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications: 



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Two (2) or more year’s related experience is required.

  • Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
